When using this website Nitocra can collect personal data. Nitocra uses this personal data solely for purposes described in this privacy statement and will do everything in its power to protect this collected data.

Browsing the site
When you visit our website we do not collect cookies from you.
You can subscribe in the Nitoko to become a member of S. A. Nitocra. For this purpose we collect the following data:
- E-mail adres
- First name
- WUR account name
- Phone number
- IBAN number
- Starting year
- Phase of education (Bsc/Msc/Alumni)
To administer this data we use Google Drive. Google processes this information on basis of the EU-US Privacy Shield. Nitocra uses the data mentioned above only for internal activities. The data is not shared with third parties. Exceptions can be made, but we will ask you to provide you data for these kind of activities again. Possible exceptions are mentioned in the remainder of this privacy statement. Click here for an overview of the security measures that Google has taken to protect your data. Only board members and need-to-know committee members have access to this data. We have noted that Google Drive is not the safest option to store personal data and we are currently switching to a safer platform.
To withdraw money for membership fees and activity fees, we make use of the ING Bank application.
Nitocra deletes all personal data in a time span reaching from the moment a member has unsubscribed and has no debts with Nitocra, until the then upcoming board change. When Personal data is collected in attending participation of activities in which no money or fee was asked, the data will be deleted before the then upcoming board change.
Nitocra has a newsletter for which you subscribe automatically with the membership. For this purpose we collect the following data with your consent:

- First name
To send the newsletter, Nitocra uses MailChimp. MailChimp processes this information on basis of the EU-US Privacy Shield. A processing agreement has been concluded with MailChimp. Nitocra processes your first and last name and your e-mail adres only for the purpose of contacting you by e-mail and to keep you informed of our news items and activities. MailChimp uses this information to send the newsletter and to name it. You always have the option to unsubscribe. Nitocra collects photos and videos. We asks the posing persons for consent to use the material for the following purposes:
- The newsletter
- Photos for in the “Nitoko” (Forum (102), room 115, Droevendaalsesteeg 2 Wageningen)
- The almanac
- Social media (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn)
- Nitocra website (e.g. committee or board group photos, these photos can remain on the website for several years)
- Presentations (Walk-along days, study days, introduction days, bachelor or master ceremonies)
- Novelties (Year agenda, Nitocra Quartet game, deck of cards)
The unused photos are solemnly accessible with the Nitocra hard disk situated in the locked filing cabinet in the Nitoko (Forum (102), room 115, Droevendaalsesteeg 2 Wageningen) and the locked archive cabinet in the basement of Forum both of which only board members have keys.
We may collect information about allergies to prevent allergic reactions when we serve food and beverages to attendees to our gastronomic activities.
We may collect the day of birth of attendees to our festivities to prevent underage drinking.
To participate in the Batavierenrace Nitocra collects the following extra data:
- Drivers License
- If you are in possession of WUR sport rights.
If you participate in the Batavierenrace with the Nitocra team, Nitocra has to share personal data with the organisation of the Batavierenrace in order to subscribe. Nitocra shares the following data with the Batavierenrace organisation to subscribe:
- E-mail address
- Phone number

Protection of your data is not possible without security measures. We therefore try to maintain a high level of security, by making sure our software is up to date, by providing an encrypted version of the website only (using https and security headers), and by carefully choosing content.
